OK, so I've been using an env2 for almost 3 years, like it aside from some quirks, but I finally killed the internal screen. I took the phone apart, disconnected and reconnected the little flat connector, but still no luck.  So I bought another one on ebay, but I was wondering. Basically, which half of the phone has the internal memory? I would like to save my contacts, and a couple of notes in the notepad. But is the internal memory (and I suppose, the guts, the activated part, whatever you would call it) in the half with the screens and the number pad, or the half with the qwerty kb/battery/sd slot? My theory was take the two phones apart, put the screen half from the new one onto the qwerty half of my broken one, and suddenly have a good phone again, just like replacing the monitor on a PC. Or would that not work? If I gotta manually re-do all my contacts I might as well just upgrade to a new phone. TIA for thoughts/info/suggestions.

Nevermind, it actually worked like a charm. All my stuff is still there, phone still works, now with bonus working internal screen  Grin
