This is how you put Free Ringtones on:

LG Keybo (VX9100) / LG enV˛ (VX9100) - [Telus/Koodo/Verizon]

---
1. Download BitPim [ http://www.bitpim.org ]

2. Install BitPim and run the program.

3. Make sure your computer has installed the LG USB Driver,
if not then Download at: [ http://www.imjosh.com/LG_USB_Driver.zip ].

4. Connect your Keybo/Env2 to the computer with the USB data cable.

5. On your phone you will see 'Connect phone to PC using USB Cable', click on yes.

6. It will then connect and restarts your phone and puts it in off/charge mode, it will also try to connect with BitPim.

7. In BitPim I recommend you to detect your phone manually, click Edit > Settings.

8. In Settings where it says Phone Type, click the drop down-list and click on: LG-VX9100 (enV 2).

9. To find your Com Port, click the 'Browse...' button next to it.

10. Choose the Comm Port that says 'LGE CDMA USB Serial Port', in brackets should be your phones Comm Port. Click on it, then click 'OK'.

11. In BitPim Settings, click on OK.

12. Now in BitPim on the left side click Filesystem, then on the next window (box) click on the + next to a folder that says /

13. It will then say retrieving, then it should show you a list of folders, these are folders that is in your phone.

14. Click the + next to brew

15. In the brew folder: Click the + next to shared

16. Click on ringtone folder. [ brew/shared/ringtone ]

17. Download some ringtones in mp3 format on to your computer, then open that folder up on your computer then drag the ringtones to right side Window/box in BitPim, make sure you have clicked on the ringtone folder first then drag your ringtones from your computer to the ringtone folder in your phone.

18. You should now see all the Ringtones that you have dragged in the very far right side in BitPim.

19. After that click on Send Phone Data, button in BitPim, put check mark on Ringtone, then OK

20. All data will then be sent to your phone, then your phone will then restart and will be in ON mode.

21. In your phone go to Menu > Music & Media > Ringtones & Sounds > My Ringtones

22. It should have have worked and you will find your free downloaded ringtones now in your phone.
---

These ringtones gets saved on the phones memory and not the microSD card.

This may seem like lots of steps, but once BitPim is setup and you get use to putting ringtones on, it should become easier to use and understand.

You do not need a microSD card for this, all you need is: computer, internet, LG Keybo or EnV2, USB Data Cable.

If you don't have a LG USB Data Cable, then you can either buy it from ebay or from your phone carrier or go to the LG site.

You can easily download ringtones from: http://www.phonezoo.com or http://www.zedge.net
You can create your own ringtones from the two sites above and also from: http://mobile17.com

I have TELUS LG Keybo and this method works 100%

---
The other way is to use a microSD card and make folder in it called ringers then Use BitPim, this way may not work for all, not sure why though, it doesn't work for me, but the one I posted above does work.
---

If you screw up your phone, it's not my fault. I'm just telling you what worked for me.

Any telus (more like koodo)  user can success download and upload content using bitpim?   I have the latest version 1.6x and I have the 2 problems:

if I allow it to auto-detect it will always come back as Other CDMA phone.  if I select COM4 it won't even connect at all.

if I set it to enV2 manually and use COM4 it will talk to bitpim but I can only pull the call history and etc .
Try pulling wallpaper, ringtone etc will be empty folder.

Is there a setting or something that I am missing?

BitPim works on Telus LG Keybo, the method that I have posted above I'm pretty sure that it will work on Koodo LG Keybo and Verizon LG EnV2. If it doesn't or you need help with it, let me know.

Hi, im new, and i have been trying to get free ringtones forever!

I finally tried bitpim after about what seemed a decade trying to even get the driver installed.

miraculously it took about 5 seconds to get the driver installed.. and bitpim detected my phone as "other CDMA on com6"

now when i tried to retrieve data....

they are all grayed out, all of the options, even in send data... i have the LG Keybo with Telus...

i followed all the steps carefully... any suggestions? or am i just newb

EDIT:

I have it manually set agian... and the recieve/send features aren't grayed out E.G phonebook ect.

but i get this error when trying to do something:

BitPim version: 1.0.6-official
An unexpected exception has occurred.
