Somebody said I should be able to record my dog barking and set it as a ringtone. Can't find it in manual. Is it possible? If so, how do I do it?

media center
music and tones
my sounds
record new
once you record your sound and save it exit everything
send new pic message
insert your own number
add your recorded sound
send
once you recieve message
options
set as
ringtone or alerts (you choose)
you should be set. i think there is an easier way but i havent found it out yet. that is how i do sounds.

So..I got the ringtone recorded..your instructions are awesome!
But
I can't get it to be a ringtone??? I followed your directions exactly. It's set to be the ringtone, but isn't.

I went to Ringtones, chose the one I recorded then
Set as
Ringtone
That didn't work so I set it as alert for all messages. Didn't change
Went to Sounds Settings
Call Ringtone chose it and didn't change.

i did miss a step and i do appologize. on the message you recieved from yourself you need to save as ringtone. then after saving you can set it as a ringtone.
as far as for alerts, once you save it as a ringtone, you have to go to settings, sounds settings, alert sounds, and set them individually. this i know i have to do with my moms env2 because if i set it for all messages from media center it will not work. idk why but it is what it is.
try this and let me know and i am looking for more ringtone options that may work.

On a side note...I know this may seem like a silly question. but why are the #2, letters Q,W,E & S colored gray on the keyboard?

i believe it is because in some games you use those for directional keys instead of the one on the right. i may be wrong on that but thats the only thing i can think of.
